I started the walk from the base of the cliffs in Los Cristianos but you can obviously start your walk anywhere on route and head in any direction that takes your fancy.
Many here will be familiar with parts, or may be all, of this walk; it is flat paved promenade from start to finish (there’s a short bit of boardwalk just past H10 Costa Adeje Palace) with all the cafés and restaurants you could ever need along the way and there are bus stops everywhere with a simple walk into town.
Don’t forget to visit the ‘Sleeping Dragon’ in the rocks at Costa Adeje (he has a cold and sneezes) or picnic on the rocks at the Castillo near the shopping centre at El Duque (good free toilets inside).
This is 8km of people watching heaven and ends at ‘le petit bistrot’ at the base of a flight of steps at Playa El Varadero, La Caleta.
